The Raleigh water tower was built in 1887. It now houses the N.C. Chapter of the American Institute of Architects.

I was walking by there two days ago and couldn’t help noticing how nice it is to have such buildings from the past well maintained. However, I couldn’t also help noticing the ugliness that exists to the South and West – AT&T building – as well as that parking lot to the East :(
