The first challenge of experiencing Tir Na Nog is learning to say it correctly. Once you’ve got it down, and are now educating everyone you know on the proper pronunciation, you can dive into the very roomy pub for a variety of entertainment. The activity surrounds a large circle bar in the center of the room with a stage on one side and bar games at the other. Tir Na Nog is a no brainer if you have a large group as they have plenty of room for those groups of bar golfers out there. Located right across the street from Moore Square, they are one of the anchors of night time activity after events in the park.

Tir Na Nog continues to be a great place for food and drink. Has anyone heard what is going into the vacated Yancey’s spot in the Hudson building? Hoping for a crowd pleaser.
Agreed, Horatio. They are always promoting local beer (awesome) and local bands (also awesome).
For an Irish pub, they also surprisingly have a very diverse vegeterian menu. The carribean jerk tofu is probably the best sandwich available in Raleigh. Even if you aren’t a vegetarian, you should give it a try. It isn’t the rubbery sandwich you would expect from a tofu dish.
Tir Na Nog also has a fun trivia night every Wednesday at 9pm – and the winners get an awesome prize – $50 gc for Tir Na Nog!
Love Tir Na Nog and the music there. Seen some really good Irish music/bands there, but my favorite I think was a show by The Prodigals.

Rather than BeerCon, maybe this should go under WhiskyCon, whew, my liver cringes every time I say the name of this place. MMMMmmmm.
There are health benefits to whisky. My father in law has one(sometimes two) a day since age 20. He is now 87 and going strong!!I’m a believer:)
The beer selection is a bit limited but the food is excellent and the live music is great.
