The photo above shows the ongoing construction taking place for the North Carolina Education Campus, shot this month. I tried to match the same angle as a rendering that popped up recently for this project, which finally gives us a glimpse of what the state is up to over on Jones Street. I’ve added that rendering below, so keep reading.

The shape of the building is basically there but I may be stretching it a bit. The campus look and feel is not my thing and ultimately, I wish they went with a more urban layout than this but I’ll stay positive on the fact that the parking is essentially underground. I do hope we can get a lot of trees growing there given that there is a ton of car parking underneath all that green. Next time we check in, perhaps more of the exterior will come into place and we can really see what this thing will look like.
