I think this is the most dramatic view of the NC Education Campus. It’s on the corner of McDowell and Jones Street and since the last time I posted about the project, the building is showing a lot of glass. Those three cranes have really helped move this project along.
There’s still over a year left on this project before state employees are working here but I do wonder if we’ll start seeing the cranes come down before my next update. The rendering shows a lot of trees to be planted in the foreground of my photo, between this building and the Nature Research Center, which should add a little more visual interest. It’s not quite city-building as this is more of a campus like setting versus an urban area but that’s how the state likes to do things unfortunately.
