Pic of the Week

Photo of the construction of Highline Glenwood, June 2026

A lot has taken place since we last checked in on Highline Glenwood about three months ago. The lower floors are in place and there’s even some glass being put in. By my count, the ninth or tenth floor is being worked on so this thing should really rise up throughout the Summer. As a reminder, this will become Raleigh’s tallest residential tower by floor count when completed sometime in 2028.

New, at least to me, is the work being done behind the tower. You can see the supports coming out of the ground for the parking deck and office tower that will face both North and Tucker Streets. The space between the buildings, facing the interior of the block and including the existing Creamery historic building, will be the Alley containing walkways and plazas. This will not be for surface parking. There will be a good amount of retail space facing the Alley but also continuing to face Glenwood Avenue so it’ll be an area to explore for sure.
