Construction is well underway at the site of the future Union Station Bus Facility. The groundbreaking actually took place back in October 2023 but what really matters is when the crane is put in place. That’s when it feels alive and active.

The bus station will have eight bus bays as a way to connect bus riders to train service at Union Station. Ground-floor retail spaces will also be included and the last plans I’ve seen are for apartments to be added above. There was once a hotel at one point but the plans for above the station seem unclear at this time. We’ll have to wait and see.
