Demolition Taking Place To Make Way For Highline Glenwood

It’s been a long time since we’ve visited The Creamery but, just like that, work was just announced to start and indeed it has. Demolition work is already underway as Turnbridge Equities kicks off the first phase of its major redevelopment of the historic Pine State Creamery site. Highline Glenwood, a 37-story residential tower, will become Raleigh’s tallest residential building sitting at the corner of North Street and Glenwood Avenue.

The ground level will have about 7,500 square feet of retail space, while the adjacent historic Creamery building will be preserved and repurposed for commercial use. This phase aims to blend new high-rise living with Raleigh’s historic fabric, keeping the Creamery’s character intact while modernizing the site.

This will be a fun project to watch come together and there are even more potential phases to the entire site. This will dramatically increase the number of residents along the Glenwood South corridor. The building is expected to open in 2028, offering a mix of studios through three-bedroom penthouses, which I’m sure will have some spectacular views of the city.

I’ll leave you today with a pair of renderings.
