A Peek Inside Google Fiber’s New Shop in Glenwood South

I recently had a meeting that was held over at Google’s new shop on Glenwood and took a VR photo inside the new space for the blog. There’s a lot of hype about this new space with lines around the block to get in on First Fridays, tons of curious visitors, and even some getting their wedding photos taken inside.

Personally, I don’t get the hype but as an event space, it does look quite well done for a store that has no physical products to walk out with.

  1. from what I have read and IMO:
Google Fiber will be 95% dead in 2 years, they are turning residents service off in KC and will (most likely) stop build out in other areas (Fiber will be dead, everything going wireless)

  2. Same with the hype at the Apple Store. Apple at least has product inventory to sell, but why is it always packed to the gills with people? I don’t see the attraction of going to the mall to wait in line to use the internet or play on a device when the same thing is available at Target, Wal-Mart and Best Buy.
