1. 

   I saw this about 11 years ago and it has always BUGGED me. How in the world do we get them to take it down?

   Stoplight for traffic that doesn’t appear to go in that direction?

   This stop light is for the houses just to the south of this Blount/Peace Street intersection. The traffic light lets the cars backing out of their driveways (south of the intersection) know if the high speed traffic on Blount Street will be stopped or flowing through the light.

   Anonymous is my hero. I have always wondered about this light. Genius!

   For pedestrians crossing the intersection.

   I do sort of wish they had a real pedestrian crossing signal at that intersection, though.

   The light indicates the road to nowhere :LOL: Since I used to work in the Blount Street Commons area, I had the chance to observe this anomaly on a frequent basis. Maybe in the future this will become a two-way street and put that useless light to some good use.

   I use it almost everday for crossing the street, it’s definitely not useless but not the best way for a pedestrian to cross.
