There’s a big hole in the ground where the Omni Hotel is going to be built. Crews have been working on the underground parking and you can see the foundation pillars being put into place. The site is very active and the base of a tower crane has been set up along the future 600 block of Fayetteville Street.

With the parking lot gone and the trees removed, the space looks so much bigger, giving you a wide, expansive view of the surrounding buildings. The Omni will certainly fill in this area in a big way and it’ll be a fun one to watch. I’m hoping that by the next update, we see a crane in the air and perhaps the hole all filled in.
