Pic of the Week

photo of the project Oldham and Worth under construction, October 2025

Construction continues to chug along over on West Cabarrus Street. The apartment building called Oldham and Worth, part of what the developer is now calling the West End, has all filled in and parts of the exterior are now being put in place. I’m hoping with the next update, we can start to see the street-facing façade as the renderings show a pretty cool warehouse, industrial look to it. I can get into that if it’s not too cheap looking.

The West End consists of this development and the already open building named The Platform. It’s not just a collection of homes either; there is retail popping up along Dupont Circle. Recently opened or coming soon, we have:

Coming soon is a book store called Bright Side Books & Wine. There’s plenty of retail space left as well so I’m hoping after the opening of Oldham and Worth, a new resident population is ready to support more local businesses in this area.
