The next apartment building to open up in downtown Raleigh looks to be the Alexan Moto, located along both Harrington and West Streets. That’ll up the number of homes in Glenwood South, which is already the most dense area in the city, and perhaps one day start to transition the area as a highly residential-focused area rather than just “the nightlife spot.”

While you might think that Glenwood South is for visitors, bargoers, and restaurant patrons, it turns out that West and Harrington is where you can spot dog walkers, grocery store visitors, and other locals. Between Peace Street and Hillsborough Street, you can walk by thousands of homes. If it’s not obvious, I think this is fantastic. And there’s room for even more.
