  1. Oh yes, there is the feeling that more could go in there. This is especially true because it was a freight and passenger yard for the Seaboard Air Line railroad in the 1930’s to 1960’s.

    Much of the old track has been removed since then and some of it was sold/leased to the NCDOT for their passenger equipment. As with any negotiations with a freight carrier, CSX will have to weigh their future needs with the gains for regional transit.
