Hah. When I first moved to Raleigh, I thought this was one of the funniest things in the entire city.
A hotdog restaurant, with a sign “Hot Weiners”, right across the street from a gay bar. You can’t make this stuff up! :-)

Not fair. I was so going to take a pic of this sign and post it on my blog. Great minds think alike, I guess.
This place is a living legend. Been around, in the same building, since the 1940s. Here is a picture of George (from a few years ago), who runs the place, inside.
