Pic of the Week

New to downtown this year, every Wednesday from 4-7pm City Market hosts the Raleigh City Farmer’s Market. I stopped by yesterday and saw Boulted Bread, Raleigh City Farm, Color Fields, and others set up under the awnings of the historic building.

Great to see more markets and weekly events like these selling food in and around downtown.

  1. Does anyone think there is a chance that Advance Auto Parts corporate personnel[ 600 ] would consider their office @ Charter Square North Tower ? Dwight Nipper

  2. Hey Robert , I saw Carl Yaz. play for The Raleigh Capitals in 1959 @ Devereux Meadow . That year he was Player Of The Year for The Carolina League . I played football there for Millbrook against Hugh Morrison & Daniels J. H. School . My Dad played semi-pro baseball there also . I remember when Raleigh’s nickname was ” Sleepy Capital Of The South ” & the population was 65,000 people . There were great games between Raleigh & Durham during those years . The hotdogs were so good ! Great Time & a lot of good memories . Dwight Nipper
